Most Disappointing – Saints Row

Austin: I have been known to enjoy a majority of the Saints Row games, but everything after Saints Row 4 seems to disappoint. They had a stretch of time leading up to release where I was expecting this to be exactly what the franchise needed, but it just didn’t deliver. Even with the bugs and technical glitches patched out, the core gameplay loop of Saints Row has left me not wanting to engage with it, and has me feeling like the franchise needs to spend a much longer time in dormancy before coming back with another attempt.

Spencer: I saw a two-episode Let’s Play of it and that was enough to make me cringe and never feel the need to try it. That’s not a great sign.

Joe: Saints Row 2-4 stand out as some of the rare genuinely funny games. Saints Row reboot defies expectations by not being funny at all!
