Developer Ground Shatter has announced that March 4th will be the release date for Knights in Tight Spaces, their deck building strategy game. Shown during the Guerrilla Collective and Future Games show last year, Knights in Tight Spaces received a release date reveal trailer today. You can expect to play Knights in Tight Spaces as early as next month as the release date trailer revealed a March 4th release date.
Ground Shatter released Fights in Tight Spaces at the end of 2021. Eventually, the game would find its way to consoles and received a fair amount of praise on steam. Knights in Tight Spaces isn’t just a follow-up on the same formula, but appears to be a far more fleshed out product. The art looks phenomenal compared to the minimalist style in Fights, and there appears to be more of a story focus with the new game.
What is Knights in Tight Spaces? A Tactical Deckbuilder Explained
Knights boasts over 300 cards, different classes and gear, and an upgrade system. Knights in Tight Spaces is a strategy game that has a strong focus on space. Popularized by Subset Games’ Into the Breach, these small-form strategy titles wherein you win based on how well you can control where the enemy is, is a genre sorely lacking in titles. Knights in Tight Spaces is a welcome addition to an unsaturated genre.
Taken from the Steam Page:
Knights in Tight Spaces is a tactical deckbuilding game in the same universe as Fights in Tight Spaces, the successful game by Ground Shatter. It is a standalone title that sends us back to medieval times, building on the much-loved gameplay in new and dynamic ways, while maintaining the same stylish look-and-feel and thrilling animated fight sequences.
Knights in Tight Spaces has a demo available on their steam page. If you simply cannot wait to play something in this vein, consider checking out their first game Fights in Tight Spaces as well. In the meantime, don’t forget to wishlist Knights in Tight Spaces to help the developer out and keep an eye out in March as we’ll surely be talking more about this game when we kick off our March indie wrap-up.
