Mech pilots, get ready—Metal Bringer, the sci-fi roguelite action game from Alphawing and PLAYISM, officially launches on March 12, 2025, for Steam and PlayStation 5. But if you don’t want to wait until then, a brand-new demo is now available on Steam, featuring a revamped tutorial, UI improvements, and expanded story content.
What is Metal Bringer?
A follow-up to Samurai Bringer, Metal Bringer drops players into a sci-fi world filled with androids, towering mechs, and relentless enemy hordes. You’ll build and control customizable android soldiers, called Labor, and pilot massive war machines known as Arms—each with their own unique weapons, abilities, and appearances.
- Customize Everything – Swap out weapons, armor, and colors to create a Labor or Arms unit that fits your combat style.
- Horde-Based Roguelite Action – Blast through waves of enemies, collect app disks to upgrade your Labor, and survive against increasing odds.
- Steal Enemy Parts & Gear – Your mechs won’t last forever, but you can scavenge powerful enemy tech to stay in the fight.
- Next-Gen Pixel Art & Adaptive Music – Combining retro pixel aesthetics with real-time ray tracing, Metal Bringer delivers dynamic visuals and an evolving soundtrack that shifts based on your battles.
Updated Demo: What’s New?
Following player feedback from its October 2024 Next Fest demo, Metal Bringer has received a major overhaul. Whether you played the first demo or are jumping in fresh, here’s what’s changed:
- Improved Tutorial – A reworked learning curve with tutorials that appear at the right time, plus an on-demand Control Guide in the pause menu.
- Gameplay Balancing – Adjusted difficulty, enemy behavior, lock-on system, and default controls for a smoother experience.
- Expanded Story Elements – More dialogue, enemy interactions, and in-game events give players a deeper look into Metal Bringer’s world.
- UI Enhancements – A redesigned Assembly Menu makes comparing weapons and Arms parts easier, plus clearer mini-maps and indicators.
- New Abilities & Features – More shop upgrades, new apps, improved map functions, and additional OS tuning options.
Two Demo-Exclusive Modes:
- Newbie Mode – Build up your Labor’s strength, learn the core mechanics, and defeat a boss within the time limit.
- Extreme Mode – Jump straight into mid-game battles with powered-up Labor and Arms for an intense combat experience.
