Here’s Five Things You Need to Know About MotoGP 18

MotoGP 18 is out and here’s the quick rundown of what players can expect from the latest entry in the circuit racing series.

5. Realistic, True-to-Form Presentation

MotoGP 18 is the second entry in the series to use Unreal Engine 4 and developer, Milestone is pushing the boundaries of graphics and technology to create a true-to-life MotoGP experience. Drone and 3D facial scanning are all used to recreate tracks as well as the rider’s likeness. Players with PS4 Pro or Xbox One X will receive “better post-processing effects, lighting, translucency, motion blur, and HDR support.”

4. Customization to Your Heart’s Content

Your racing experience is entirely tailored to your playstyle. Sliders can be adjusted from the difficulty of the races down to the bike itself. For those starting on the track, utilizing the driver assist features like the racing line and rewind will be to your advantage. However fortune favors the bold and those who rise to the challenge will earn progressively better rewards.

3. Compete to be a Champion

MotoGP esports Championship returns in this newest entry, starting in July. Introduced for the first time last year, this time around Xbox and PC owners can join in and compete in various online challenges. The top 16 participants will be selected to compete in the championship in November. MotoID, a new feature for this entry, will allow players to compare their stats to others including completed races, fastest times, and races on. You can accumulate points towards MotoID by adjusting various difficulty and race settings like bike damage.

2. Become the Spectator

MotoGP 18 owners can also witness the competition online via the Spectator Mode, allowing those to engage with in-game community real-time. Those that spectate can chat with each other online, bringing them one step closer to live commentary for both riders and those who are watching on YouTube and Twitch platforms.
