Grab your power washers and get ready to blast away dirt once again—PowerWash Simulator 2 has officially been announced. Developer FuturLab is taking its pressure-washing phenomenon to the next level with new locations, enhanced cleaning mechanics, and—at long last—split-screen co-op. The sequel is set to release later this year on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Bigger, Cleaner, and Full of New Features
PowerWash Simulator 2 promises a full campaign with brand-new locations to scrub down, including Sponge Valley, Power Falls, and Lubri City. Muckingham’s mysteries return, but this time, the world feels more alive and interactive, with fresh details to uncover as you rinse away the filth.
According to Dan Chequer, Design Director at FuturLab, the sequel isn’t just about adding more content—it’s about refining the core satisfaction of pressure washing:
“The original game’s design was all about eliminating anything that detracted from the pure satisfaction of taking something dirty and making it clean. PowerWash Simulator 2 is all about adding in even more avenues for players to achieve that same sense of satisfaction, with new tools, features, and quality-of-life improvements.”
Meanwhile, FuturLab’s COO Chris Mehers highlighted the studio’s self-publishing milestone, emphasizing that the massive success of the first game—over 17 million players worldwide—has allowed them to take full creative control over the sequel.
New Mechanics and Soap-erior Washing
- More Satisfying Cleaning – Improved soap mechanics ensure stubborn stains don’t stand a chance.
- Customizable Home Base – Collect furniture and trinkets to decorate your personal power-washing pad.
- Better Equipment – New tools and features make blasting away grime more efficient and fun.
- Split-Screen & Online Co-Op – For the first time ever, play side-by-side with a friend on one screen or team up online to share campaign progression.
More Dirt, More Fun – And More to Come
PowerWash Simulator 2 launches later in 2025, but FuturLab has promised more details in April. In the meantime, you can wishlist the game on Steam and keep an eye out for fresh updates.
