E3 2008: Xam’d: Lost Memories

July 19, 2008 by MegaClank Features, PS3, Playstation Network, Playstation Store No Comments

Ever seen Full Metal Alchemist or Eureka Seven? Did you like either of them? Well exclusive on the Platystation Network is a new anime that is named Xam’d Lost Memories created by Bones Studio.

What’s it about? Well, let’s check it out:

Akiyuki, the main character of the animated series, lives on Sentan Island, a land that has preserved its status as a free and peaceful island in a world consumed by fighting between the Northern and Southern Governments. All of this changes when Akiyuki boards a bus along with a mysterious white-haired girl who transforms his arm with the lost memories and power of Xam’d.

As Xam’d, Akiyuki goes on a rampage and is saved when a foreign girl with red hair named “Nakiami calms him down, taking him back to her postal vessel.
Akiyuki now must gain control of his powers and use them against the Northern Government’s latest weapons, known as “Humanforms”. Travelling the world on a postal vessel, Akiyuki hopes to return home one day, but until then he befriends other passengers on the boat.

Sounds interesting enough! You can also move the episodes to your PSP and guess what? “…nearly 60 percent of PSP users watch movies and videos on their handhelds.” So that means this feature is really great, seriously though, the anime looks interesting enough. The first episode’s title is Xam’d at the Dawn of War.

SD video episodes will be available for purchase at $2.99 and HD videos for $3.99. There are 26 episodes in total spanning two seasons. Episodes 1-12 are Season 1 and 13-26 compromise Season 2. It’s an original anime developed exclusively for the PSN, just like Qore is a PSN exclusive.

There is something delightful about the charming simplicity of Popcap’s titles, and Plants vs Zombies continues this legacy. Much like Peggle and any of its past franchises, Plants vs Zombies takes a single round to comprehend all of its basic rules. Though it never becomes difficult [...]

Matt Hazard: Blood Bath & Beyond Review

The original Matt Hazard had the potential to be a great game, good voice work with the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Will Arnett. A brilliant backstory and marketing campaign which broke the fourth wall entirely, and the story while thin was entertaining and amusing. The sole problem came in the gameplay department which [...]

SB Plays The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks

When the newest entry in the beloved Zelda series was announced earlier this year, people were both excited and skeptical. How well would a train in the Zeldaverse go over with fans? Would the gameplay be a replay of Phantom Hourglass, with its infamously numerous trips through the Temple of the Ocean King?
Now that the [...]
