Halo Wars Preview

Shacknews.com has posted a preview of the much anticipated Halo Wars.

“Real Time Strategy games only work well on PCs”. I’m sure we’ve all thought that at one stage or another, the main reasoning being the control scheme is barely ever anything to write home about on consoles, in comparison to PCs, where the control schemes almost always work perfectly. So it comes as no surprise that the success of Halo Wars heavily relies on how well the control scheme works. Reportedly, whilest not fantastic, the Halo Wars control Scheme does indeed work well. Preforming important tasks like managing all your troops, or quickly jumping back to your base are all assigned to specific buttons, and the d-pad is used to jump between squads. The left bumper selects all the units on the map, the right bumper selects all units on screen, and the left trigger toggles through your different infantry types.

In the games multiplayer mode, the covenant will be playable, and players can face up to three AI opponents.

In addition, the single player campaign is said to feature four different worlds.
