PS3 title Afrika finds a new publisher: National Geographic

For those waiting for the North American release of Afrika, also known as Hakuna Matata, help is actually coming from National Geographic. The company will actually be getting into the gaming business. The Company will be publishing the game as National Geographic: Africa. It will be released some time next month.

 

The new division will also be developing games such as the iPhone’s “Herods Lost Tomb” Which is based on a December article of “National Geographic” magazine. The company will also be developing National Geographic: Panda, and the upcoming Zoo tycoon.

For future games, National Geographic will be teaming up with Namco Bandai as well as Sony to develop games for both the PS3 and the Wii. The games are said to be “edutainment” games with educational aspects.
