Square Enix To Distribute Dead Island in North America

In one of those unusual marriages, Square Enix is picking up the distribution rights in North America for Techland’s Dead Island which was reintroduced earlier this year with a dramatic CG trailer.

Publisher Deep Silver and its developer Techland felt that the decision to partner with Square Enix was a perfect fit for Dead Island which sees release later this year for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.

“Square Enix’s impressive distribution and marketing capabilities, combined with their proven success with launching top-notch AAA titles, makes them the absolute best partner for Dead Island,” said Deep Silver Chief Operating Officer Geoff Mulligan.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with their dedicated and talented team and look forward to collaborating with them in order to bring Dead Island to gamers.”
