Dead Island Reintroduced To The World, Has Zombies

Call of Juarez developer Techland has another video game project in the works and its Dead Island. You might recall its original announcement in 2007, if not, don’t worry – a new CGI trailer confirms the game’s existence. Publisher Deep Silver is taking the helm to push out Dead Island for a 2011 release, platforms include Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.

Described as a first person survival horror with an emphasis on melee combat. This isn’t your typical zombie shooter as the game offers limited use of firearms with even less ammunition. Among the game’s features, Dead Island offers four player co-op, weapon customization, a lush tropical setting, RPG elements for character development, and hordes of zombies.
