QuakeCon ’12: Dawnguard DLC out for PC, Bethesda unhappy with PS3 version

The PC version of the Dawnguard DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available for download on Steam, according to a news release from Bethesda.

Those looking to expand their Skyrim adventure on the PC can pick up Dawnguard for $19.99 in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish versions.

Bethesda also updated PlayStation fans on the state on the PS3 version of Dawnguard. It wasn’t exactly good news.

Here is the full statement posted on the Bethesda Blog site:

“We are not satisfied yet with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.”
