Stinky Footboard, a PC Foot Controller, will enter production thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. The controller will be available for purchase in June for $119.
The purpose of the Stinky Footboard is to allow players to use their feet to supplement their hands on the keyboard and mouse while gaming, allowing gamers to “always be in control.” It sounds ridiculous but examples of the Stinky Footboard include:
– Allow simultaneous actions in FPS games: strafe, change guns, throwing a grenade without taking their fingers off the AWSD keys
– Increase actions per minute in RTS games
– Easier access to additional key bindings for MMO players
– Shave precious seconds off for eSports players
– Simplifies controls for beginners
– Prevents leg cramps from long periods of playtime!
Of course, gamers can customize the Stinky Footboard down to the exact level of responsiveness they desire. The built in Stinky software, compatible with Windows 8, 7, Vista and XP, allows players to map different commands for each game to every switch.
