Marvelous, Inc. has announced that they have released a new update for their Metroid-Vania 2D action-adventure game, Exile’s End. The new upgrade includes three entirely new game modes: Survival Mode, Speedrun Mode, and Hard Mode.
Survival Mode has players survive countless waves of enemy attacks, in order to climb the Steam leaderboards, Speedrun Mode adds a timer to the game and removes all cutscenes, to maximize efficiency, and Hard Mode makes enemy mobs smarter, tougher, and more damaging. Players who try these modes will also have a chance to win $3000 worth in prizes, in a contest set to be announced this month.
