Bungie has taken all of the user feedback and with the release of The Taken King next month offers a much more cohesive and respecting experience for players new and old. If you still have last gens plastic instruments laying around your house, you can pick up Rock band 4 standalone version for $59.99 on PS4 and $79.99 on XB1 which is more expensive because of the necessary legacy adapter to connect your  old 360 instruments to Xbox One.
