Call of Duty All-Zombies Map Pack ‘Rezurrection’ Coming August 23rd

Activision announced that it will release an all-zombies map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops as DLC on Xbox Live, August 23rd. You may recall that Hardened and Prestige Black Ops owners already have these maps and the publisher revealed that it will give additional content (such as the Moon map, soundtrack, and theme) at no extra cost.

The pack features four re-masters of zombie levels from CoD: World at War – Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese. Additionally, a new map called Moon completes the Call of Duty zombies arc. A Zombies soundtrack and Zombies Moon theme is included with the pack as well. Screenshots below. (more…)

From Dust is Ubisoft’s Fastest Selling Xbox Live Arcade Title

Ubisoft revealed that From Dust has “broken record digital sales” since the publisher released the game on July 27th. From Dust tracked the highest first day game sales of any Xbox Live Arcade game ever released, and yes, that includes Beyond Good & Evil HD.

A variety of factors account for From Dust’s success like: 1) being the first Ubisoft title to participate in the Summer of Arcade promotion 2) timed exclusivity to Xbox 360 3) our 4.5/5 review. :) (more…)

New Crimson Alliance Screenshots

Certain Affinity released new images for its action RPG, Crimson Alliance, releasing this September for Xbox Live Arcade. Players select from three classes, team up to three friends locally or online, explore dungeons to defeat mini-bosses, and collect “phat loot.” (more…)

Double Dragon 2 Remake Coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Korean studio Barunson Interactive, creators of the Dragon Saga MMORPG, announced that Double Dragon II will release for Xbox Live Arcade and will release as Double Dragon 2: Wander of the Dragons.

The story remains the same with a considerable amount of enhancements on the gameplay side like a new combo system and a new special move called the “diving knee kick.” Like the original, Wander of the Dragons will support two-player co-op, a four-player versus mode, and a survival mode to test your mettle.

Most stages remain faithful to the original game however there are new sequences like QTE events in the levels. Double Dragon II releases this September for Xbox Live Arcade at 1200 MSP. Video below. (more…)

Certain Affinity’s action RPG, co-op game Crimson Alliance released a new trailer focusing on one of its three playable characters, a mercenary named Grox.

Halo Anniversary Pre-Order Bonuses

Publisher Microsoft and 343 Industries revealed details on the pre-order incentives for the upcoming Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. Pre-order bonuses include Master Chief armor for your Xbox Live avatar in addition to a “Grunt Funeral” Skull game mod. Having the skull makes Grunts explode like a plasma grenade upon death.

343 Industries will be on-site at this year’s Comic Con for a Halo panel. It’ll be held Friday, July 22 at 11:30pm to 12:30pm. The panelists include Frank O’Connor, Kevin Grace, Greg Bear and Karen Traviss and offers a perspective of Halo and a “sneak peek” of what’s next for the green armored space chief.
