You know what’s worse than a zombie? Moon Zombies! Acitivision and Treyarch released a behind-the-scenes video for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops DLC, titled Rezurrection pack. The DLC features the four zombie maps from Call of Duty World at War and a new map titled Moon, which features scary Moon zombies! (more…)

Call of Duty All-Zombies Map Pack ‘Rezurrection’ Coming August 23rd

Activision announced that it will release an all-zombies map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops as DLC on Xbox Live, August 23rd. You may recall that Hardened and Prestige Black Ops owners already have these maps and the publisher revealed that it will give additional content (such as the Moon map, soundtrack, and theme) at no extra cost.

The pack features four re-masters of zombie levels from CoD: World at War – Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese. Additionally, a new map called Moon completes the Call of Duty zombies arc. A Zombies soundtrack and Zombies Moon theme is included with the pack as well. Screenshots below. (more…)

Call of Duty: Black Ops Sets ‘Annihilation’ on July 28 for PS3, PC

The Annihilation downloadable content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops will release on PC and Playstation 3 by the end of this month, Activision announced today. The DLC hits both platforms on July 28th. The standard pricing for this pack is $14.99.

Annihilation adds five new maps and may be the last map pack for Black Ops as the Elite service is underway and Modern Warfare’s release in the fall.

The third DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops arrives June 28th for the Xbox Live Marketplace. The DLC pack ‘Annihilation,’ offers four new multiplayer maps: Hangar 18, Silo, Hazard and includes the zombie experience ‘Shangri-La.’

Call of Duty: Black Ops Map Pack “Escalation” Available on Xbox Live

The second map pack, Escalation, for Call of Duty: Black Ops is now available for download on Xbox Live. Escalation features four new multiplayer map packs and a zombie map experience starring George A. Romero, Robert Englund, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Michael Rooker and Danny Trejo. Also coupled with this Hollywood star cast, Avenged Sevenfold’s music track “Not Ready to Die” will accompany the production. (more…)

Black Ops: First Strike Gameplay Trailer, Zombies

Activision released a new gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops upcoming DLC, First Strike, which releases February 1, 2011. The trailer details five new maps, one of which is a zombie map, Ascension.

Includes “Berlin Wall”, allowing combat on both sides of the imposing wall; “Discovery”, a desolate, frozen German outpost in the Arctic; “Kowloon”, battle in the rain along the rooftops of a towering Chinese sprawl; “Stadium”, an intense locale with a pro hockey arena backdrop; and “Ascension”, where you fight zombies in a Soviet launch facility.

The Appetizer – Call of Duty: Black Ops (singleplayer)

In this episode of The Appetizer, Will and Gyuri don their tinfoil hats for a conspiracy theory in Treyarch’s latest Call of Duty: Black Ops. We discuss the non-chronological singleplayer storyline filled with flashbacks, redacted statements, and plenty of covert operations. In particular, we showcase the first level of Black Ops tracing back to the historic Bay of Pigs event where the CIA is tasked with assassinating Fidel Castro.
