Peggle publisher PopCap has announced that Peggle will be coming to the Nintendo DS this winter under the development of famed Japanese studio, Q Entertainment (The fine folks who brought you Rez and Lumines)
The DS version is expected to retail at $29.95 and will feature more levels than any previous Peggle game. In addition, PopCap promises “features unique to the DS version” and “a wealth of surprise additions sure to please die-hard fans and novice players alike.”
Released on the PC, Mac, and iPod, Peggle offers players the challenge of eliminating colored pegs with its overabundant usage of unicorns, rainbows, and Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy.”
A downloable version of Peggle is also in the works for the Xbox 360 as well as a PC sequel, Peggle Nights, also in development.
