Eidos has revealed Batman: Arkham Asylum, a new original game based on exploring the infamous mental facility.
The first details were revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer. Penned as a dark and gritty title, the game’s original story is written by Paul Dini, best known for his work on Batman: The Animated Series.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios (makers of Urban Chaos: Riot Response), the game is powered on Epic’s Unreal Engine 3 and will feature a over the shoulder action and detective concept.
Arkham Asylum is slated to hit PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 in 2009.
