Uncharted 3 ‘Drakes Deception’ Teased, Screenshots and Cover Art

The threequel in the franchise, Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is revealed for the Playstation 3 for ‘late 2011’ as Entertainment Weekly reports.

Drake’s Deception will take place in the airy desert filled with deception in search of the legendary lost city Iram of the Pillars. The decision for the setting is reasoned as an “artistic, technical challenge” from the team at Naughty Dog. Uncharted 3 will boast several new gameplay mechanics such as “enhanced backward climbing and the ability to fight multiple baddies at once.”

Online multiplayer and co-op gameplay are a focus in the next installment. “We want to take on the big boys of the multiplayer genre.” “It has become something here at Naughty Dog that will become an important part to all our games.”

Uncharted 3 releases for the Playstation 3 ‘late next year’ but you can view the teaser trailer for the game below.
