Today Ubisoft released a video showcasing several of the components of Splinter Cell: Black List which will take advantage of the Wii U’s GamePad.

The video is proof that Ubisoft continues to be the strongest 3rd party developer for Nintendo’s Wii U. In addition to the standard inventory management, Blacklist makes an interesting use of the GamePad by giving players off TV gadget control. Launching a drone and then controlling it from the screen in your hands makes for more “true to situation” experience than having the main point of view switch from a view of a the player’s environment to the HUD of a gadget being controlled with an in-game tablet.
Splinter Cell Blacklist for Wii U will launch alongside PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game on Aug. 20.
