Ubisoft is re releasing a DLC spin off story from Assassin’s Creed IV where players control the former slave Adewale for PS3 and PS4 on Feb. 18 and coming to pc on Feb. 25 for $14.99, this time without requiring players to own Black Flag.
If you played Black Flag you will recognize Adewale as Edward’s quartermaster for the bulk of the game. In Freedom Cry (which sounds like Ubisoft doing even more brand blending with the Far Cry series) players take control of Adewale after his presence in Black Flag, after he has received his Assassin training and finds himself shipwrecked on an island (Haiti before its called Haiti) with the goal to find a new ship and crew. Adewale discovers a slaving community on the island and is forced to revisit his past and makes it his priority to bring them to an end.
Even though the DLC release of Freedom Cry is available on Xbox One and 360, Ubisoft has not announced the stand-alone version for either platform.
