In a surprise announcement, Simpler Times from developer stoneskip and published iam8bit Presents is now available on Steam. Described as a “chill vibes simulator,” Simpler Times puts you in the shoes of Taina as she relives her childhood memories. With memories taking place across ten years, the game lets you listen to music, take photos, browse books, and more, with a story to be told in each object.
There are no timers or fail states, so you can explore the story at your own pace. The lo-fi soundtrack is at the center of the experience and will also be available both digitally and on vinyl on June 20.
Simpler Times will be 10% off for the next two weeks. It is also available as part of a bundle with Coin Crew’s Escape Academy.
