Skulls of the Shogun Finds a Home in Microsoft

Gamasutra has confirmed that Skulls of the Shogun is signed to a distribution deal with Microsoft over Xbox Live Arcade. The game is developed by a team composed of ex-EA employees who were laid off from the EA LA studios after the completion of Command & Conquer 4.

Studio founder Jake Kazdal previously worked at SEGA on Rez and notably with Steven Spielberg on the cancelled EA LMNO project. Microsoft saw the repertoire of Haunted Temple Studios and the rest was history. “More than that though, it’s a studio made up of AAA veterans with incredible resumes. These guys know how to ship great games, and that’s huge,” said Microsoft Studios Ted Woolsey.

Skulls of the Shogun releases on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.
