Final Fantasy XIII-2 shows Promise and Despair

Square Enix’s biggest announcement for XIII-2 is definitely its launch date for all regions: January 31, 2012 in North America and on February 3, 2012 in Europe.

Square Enix also re-confirmed its commitment to providing DLC, which would be “available soon after the release of Final Fantasy XIII-2.” More details will be shared “at a later time.”

“New World” by Charice will be the game’s official theme song.

Square-Enix has released two new trailers for North American audiences entitled ‘Promise’ and ‘Despair’. As a warning, many have thought these two trailers are a bit spoilerific, so watch at your own risk! Thanks Gematsu for the trailers!
