An average of 4 DLC songs are downloaded by Rock Band players, while it’s not selling as well as Guitar Hero, it’s definitely making more money off downloadable songs. One of the best features of Rock Band is the constant stream of new songs appearing in the music store, which easily trumps anything Guitar Hero has to offer.
But a recent article by Billboard says that MTV plans to increase the song library to 5000 by the end of the year. 5000? That’s fucking crazy, that will definitely cost you an arm and a leg. I feel sorry for those guys on YouTube who show off the charts to each DLC song.
Unless they change the current system to something more like iTunes it won’t work, don’t forgot to mention all the effort into making the chart for each track. I just can’t see that happening. But you never know Harmonix may have a MP3 to Rock Band converter. (doubt it)
