It’s Playstation Network Time! What’s E3 without a few surprises? Sony knows that the consumers want the best community and online service possible, and they let us know that they know this.
There have been 180 million downloads so far, but games are also being focused upon, not just features.
First up, Ratchet and Clank Future: Quest for Booty, this was rumoured before, and now it’s been confirmed! It’s a smaller game, sort of like a small blockbuster film. There is no Clank on Ratchet’s back, why? Because Clank was obducted by the Zoni at the end of Future and it sort of delves into how and why Clank was taken. You see some footage on Ratchet finding some maps and teaming up with Talwyn.
Something new to the series, Ratchet can now pick up things with his Wrench, never before could Ratchet do this. Why would he need to? Well, for example, there are these glowing enemies, you pick them up with your Wrench and hold them up when you enter dark areas. That way you can actually see while traversing those dark areas.
Best part is that it’ll grace the PSN soon with a price tag of $14.99!
Jack Tretton also states that you can have both quantity and quality, simply having junky games on the PSN filling up space just to say, “We have the most games,” that’s not the way Sony rolls. Some new IP’s shown in a following video showed Fat Princess, seems like a weird game in all honesty, fl0wer is looking great, although there’s no word on how it’s played, Crash Commando looks fun, more footage of Quest for Booty, PAIN, PixelJunk Eden, SIREN: Blood Curse and Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic.
The PSN has a wide variety of great games, spanning from echochrome to Warhawk, from GT5P to fl0w and a whole lot more.
