Ignition Entertainment announced it will be releasing Blue Dragon Plus for the Nintendo DS in North American and Europe in March 2009.
Helmed by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, Blue Dragon Plus features character designs by Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, and music by Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu. The game takes place one year after the original and as recently released to the high marks of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu.
Developed by AQ Interactive, who has been involved in Bullet Witch and Driver: Parallel Lines, the game offers over 30 hours of gameplay and one hour of dual-screen full motion video cutscenes. In addition to a real-time battle system, it will feature “Exciting RPG Elements Such As Item Collection, Character Progression and Robot Customizations”
