In the news today, Pachter has another prediction, Sony purposefully made the PS3 hard to develop for, God of War Press event announcement, I Am Alive coming soon than expected and a Sony CEO wants to do something they should of done to begin with.
When talking about what investors should invest in, he mentioned that Ubisoft will have a strong line up in the next fiscal year, expecting strong revenues from Assassin’s Creed 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction. So he is predicting both games will come out before April 2010?
Sony purposefully made the PS3 hard to develop for?
In an interview with OPM, Sony President Kaz Hirai stated that they made the PS3 hard to develop for in order to increase the consoles longevity. Yeah, increase it’s life at the expense of actual sales.
I Am Alive coming earlier than expected
Ubisoft have clarified that the release for the game won’t be Q1 2009 but rather calender Q1. Therefore stating that we should expect the game before the end of March. Quite surprising considering the lack of details on the game.
God of War 3 Press Event announced
A press event for the game will take place 3 weeks from now for both the American and European press. No exact date has been specified yet.
Sony CEO wants to change focus
Sony CEO Howard Stringer made a report on plans to help get Sony through the difficult economic environment. One comment he made was about shifting focus from hardware to software. Something they should of done from day one.
