Major Nelson is reporting that the Resident Evil 5 demo will be released on the Xbox 360 before the Playstation 3. If you haven’t already grabbed yourself a copy via the Japanese Marketplace then you will be able to get your hands on a two-level playable demo on January 26th. The game itself is set for release on March 13th in both North America and Europe, 8 days after the Japanese release.
I am not sure as to whether Microsoft wrote a big cheque to Capcom for this or not. You would think that they would have a PS3 demo ready by now as well. Also, surely it’s a bit early for a demo to be released. From demo to actual release there is over a month long gap.
UPDATE: PS3 version of the demo will be available on PSN the week of February 5th.

Well, the JP version can’t be downloaded any more if you don’t have a JP Gold Account, so this is definitely good news for anyone in NA and Europe looking to try cooping online.

Looking forward to playing the demo since the whole workaround didn’t really work out.

You forgot to mention that is has both online co-op and splitscreen co-op.
