Sony Online Entertainment and PopCap Games have announced a publishing agreement that will bring 5 brand new titles to the PlayStation Network.
Bejeweled 2, being available immediately for download in North America, with European versions to follow at a later (as yet unspecified) date. Zuma, Heavy Weapon, Peggle and Feeding Frenzy will also become available for purchase soon after. So as of RIGHT NOW, Bejeweled 2 is available to download from the PlayStation Store for the low, low price of $9.99.
As an interesting side-note, John Smedley (The President of Sony Online Entertainment) had this rather interesting quote:
“As leaders in their genre, PopCap is to casual games what SOE is to MMOs…”
Now, I understand that people like to bullsh*t and lie when talking about their company, but if there is anyone in the entire Universe that still thinks of SOE as the CURRENT leaders of the MMO genre then I would be very surprised.
