Before I leave you for tonight, I have some new info from earthbounding:
What we learn:
–A few days ago, a new Zelda game was unveiled by Famitsu. It was teased as “Fairy?”
–The little green blob in the middle is obviously Tingle, meaning this new game is a Tingle game.
–According to the website, this game appears to be an RPG of some kind–whether you interpret the Tingle spinoff series as Zelda games is up to you.
–New Zelda Wii appears to be delayed over the addition of Wii Motion Plus, according to an interview with Miyamoto by Wired.com.
–He states that he wants to build New Zelda Wii over the Wii Motion Plus
–This contradicts what he said before concerning Wii Motion Plus
–How Wii Motion Plus could work in New Zelda Wii: Since Wii Motion Plus detects liniear motion as well as waggling and pointing, it points to the ability to sword fight one on one.
–Miyamoto is aware of not having too much motion controls, and is aware that some people would claim they’d look stupid playing a Wii
–At this time, New Zelda Wii is still in a rough form, and the target release date is sometime next year
–With Mario and Samus in the pipeline for next year, New Zelda Wii appearing next year seems unlikely. 2011 appears to be the more likely day.
–New Zelda Wii could have a complex plot…but on the gameplay front, all we know is that it will be a “very interesting system”
–The Kind Code patent is true–New Super Mario Bros. Wii will have it, and New Zelda Wii could too
–The piece of New Zelda Wii artwork has what appears to be a face on the left side–could it be Ganondorf’s face? Gorons can also be spotted in the picture too.
–There is another face on the right side, who this is is currently unknown
–Link’s pose in the picture suggests that he will protect the “sword girl” from a fire blast at some point in the game.
–Unlike past Zelda logos, the one in the picture is silver–only the original’s logo looked like this, so a 2011 release date would mark Zelda’s 25th anniversary
Stay tuned for more info as I find it.
Happy gaming,
