Happy Birthday Mario, It’s Your 25th Anniversary!

It takes dedication to chase the same girl for 25 years. Nintendo is celebrating his 25th anniversary in style, mainly in Japan, where the plumber is getting a special collection of classic games for the Nintendo Wii.

The Super Mario Collection Special Pack contains an SNES release of Super Mario All-Stars, including Super Mario Bros., the Japanese sequel to Super Mario, Super Mario Bros. 3, and the American release of Super Mario Bros 2.

It also comes with a booklet revealing the history of the franchise and a soundtrack CD of music from the games. The bundle releases October 26 in Japan. No word on North American release yet but given Mario’s popularity – it’s about time we shared the celebration globally.
