Del Toro’s Insane is Volition Inc, Trilogy, and Releases 2013

Guillermo Del Toro’s entry into the video game industry is titled Insane and in partnership with THQ and Volition Inc. Described as a “Lovecraftian” horror title, Insane will consist of a trilogy of games developed by Saints Row developer Volition Inc. Del Toro will act as the external creative director for the series.

Del Toro states, “With this new series of video games, I want to take players to a place they have never seen before, where every single action makes them question their own senses of morality and reality.”

THQ will retain all intellectual rights as publisher of the Insane published video games with del Toro owning rights for “filmed entertainment products” that result out of the series.

The official site has been posted for the game, Insane will release year 2013 for PC, Xbox 360, and Playstation 3.
