L.A. Noire “Technology Behind Performance” Makes Our Collective Jaws Drop

Rockstar Games released a new video detailing L.A. Noire’s motion capturing technology, Motion Scan, used in the game. The technology, previously has only been seen in blockbuster movies, makes its first ever appearance in a video game. If you look at the video closely, notice all the subtle facial animations being captured.

The behind the scenes commentary also goes through new gameplay footage and showcases various actors in the game, including Mad Men’s Aaron Staton playing the main protagonist Cole Phelps.
