Counter-Strike Returns for Global Offensive, Targets 2012 for Consoles, PC

Valve announced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive today for Xbox Live Arcade, Playstation Network, and Steam in early 2012. CS: GO is being developed by the folks at Hidden Path Entertainment who previously lend its support in providing various Source engine updates.

The next iteration promises new weapons, maps, characters, as well as a revamp of classic Counter-Strike content you know and love (de_dust). CS: GO will be showcased for attendees going to this year’s PAX Prime in Seattle and Eurogamer Expo in London, UK.
