The gaming focused tablet with a detachable controller shell was supposed to be released today. For those who preordered the tablet, instead of getting a fun new piece of hardware they will be informed that the product has been delayed to an unknown future date.

If you are in the group who pre-ordered the tablet and expected some sweet tech candy this Halloween, WIkipad is promising a “special bonus gift” that will be delivered with the improved tablet bundles.
The Wikipad was supposed to be released today at Gamestop for $499. It’s unclear when the Tegra 3 powered unit will ship, but the Wikipad team promises that things are in the final stage and more information will come “soon.”
UPDATE: After reaching out to their PR, the only additional information given is that significant announcements will be made soon, and provide reasons why the delay was made.
