Vampyr Emerges From The Dark With New Screenshots

Vampyr comes from the critically acclaimed Life is Strange developer Dontnod and new screenshots released today show off its next video game, an action-RPG about vampire mythology set in 1918 London.

The images showcase the Vampyr’s world, a once thriving London laid waste by the Spanish flu rendered wholly in Unreal Engine 4. Each character you meet in game as their own unique back story and affects the world, so choose who you hunt wisely. Players take the shoes of a Doctor, a once human now Vampyr, who is able to unlock new vampire powers through feeding on humans. Of course, you can also choose to spare your prey through healing, crafting medicines from items. But that’s no fun.

The interesting part of Vampyr departs from the dialogue heavy gameplay of Life is Strange to one that is reminiscent of Remember Me in its melee-focused, real-time combat. Using both melee-combat and supernatural vampire powers, expect great results. Find more information on the official website.
