Koei Tecmo has announced that the popular manga and anime series, Berserk, will be the latest series to receive a game in the Warriors franchise.The game will follow the main protagonist, Guts, as he cuts his way through some of the manga’s most iconic arcs.
Combining the signature horde-slashing gameplay of the Warriors series with the grim and endlessly dark world of Beserk, with multiple playable characters, including Guts and Griffith. Each character has a different playstyle, which reflects the personalities and aspects of each individual character. Hisashi Koinuma, President of Koei Tecmo Games, commented:
“We are finally able to unveil our collaboration between Berserk and the Warriors series. In this game, players can experience and immerse themselves into the world of Berserk as the main character Guts, wielding his powerful weapon Dragon Slayer mercilessly slashing enemies in half, and through the massive story beginning with the Golden Age arc. The game content will be enjoyable even to those who don’t normally play games, so we hope all fans of Berserk will give this game a go. Become a member of Guts and his group, and experience the exhilaration of the most lethal Warriors game within the intense world of Berserk.”
Beserk (working title) will be released on the PS4, PS Vita, and PC via Steam this Fall.
