Following their most recent press event, developer Level-5 has announced plenty of new titles and crossovers for a number of their most popular series. The largest announcement was Lady Layton: The Millionaire Ariadone’s Conspiracy, the latest installment in the Professor Layton series. Players will assume the role of Kat Layton, daughter of the iconic Professor Layton. Focusing more on solving mysteries than cracking puzzles, Lady Layton will release for the 3DS, as well as Android and Apple iOS devices next year.
Inazuma Eleven Ares, the seventh title in the Inazuma Eleven series, was also announced. Taking place after the first entry of the series, players will experience a “parallel world story”, with all 11 members of Raimon Middle School football team included. There will also be a television series and toy line based on the game, with a targeted release of Summer 2017 in Japan.
The Snack World, Level-5’s fourth cross-media project, will be released on Android/iOS devices in April 2017, and on the Nintendo 3DS in July of 2017. The Snack World takes place in a typical RPG fantasy setting with weapon shops and inns, alongside more modern setpieces like convenience stores. A television series will premiere in Japan in April of 2017, with a Western release period not yet decided.
Megaton Musashi, Level-5’s fifth cross-media project, will be a combination of classic robot stories and school mysteries. Action-packed robot battles and thrilling drama will combine, using different points of view throughout the story, to create a large and enthralling story for players to enjoy. A Western release has not yet been announced.
The following games were also announced, but there are no known release dates, and no current plans to release them outside of Japan:
・Otomé HERO
・YO-KAI WATCH
・YO-KAI DAIJITEN
