Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition Announced

Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have announced a new version of Rise of the Tomb Raider, which will finally be appearing on the Playstation 4. The 20 Year Celebration Edition will include Rise of the Tomb Raider in its entirety, an all-new story chapter titled “Blood Ties“, which will support Playstation VR , new co-op Endurance gameplay, all previously released DLC, and new weapons, outfits, and Expedition cards. The Limited Edition version of the game will include an artbook in addition to all aforementioned content.

For Xbox One and PC players, all content will be available, (Playstation VR support outstanding), and will be free for players with Season Passes. Ron Rosenberg, co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics, commented on Tomb Raider‘s 20th Anniversary:

“This year we celebrate 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft. This provided the perfect opportunity for us to deliver a new Tomb Raider experience. With the addition of PlayStation VR support, you can play the world through Lara’s eyes for the first time in franchise history.”

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will release for the Playstation 4 on October 11th. For more information, check out the Celebration trailer above.
