Fresh out of Quakecon 2016, Bethesda and Arkane Studios released a new gameplay trailer for Prey, which is slated for release next year.
The re-imagined Prey takes place on a desolate space station under assault by an unknown evil. Taking place from the first-person perspective, there’s an added psychological twist to the sci-fi grounded game.
Most recently, Bethesda marketing VP Pete Hines commented on the cancellation of the development of Human Head Studios’ Prey 2,
“It hit a point where it wasn’t shaping up to be what we wanted and there didn’t seem to be a clear path to get to where we thought it needed to be. We decided the best thing to do was just to not proceed. That’s just it.”
Since then, Arkane Studios was tasked with developing the reclaimed Prey intellectual property and at E3 2016, showcased their take on the franchise.
