Nintendo made the new Super Smash Bros. game a focus of their E3 Nintendo Direct, with a 25-minute segment dedicated to introducing it. Titled Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, its roster includes every fighter that has ever appeared in the Super Smash Bros. series.
In addition to the Inkling fighters already introduced back when the game was first announced, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate also adds Ridley from the Metroid series.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features new attacks, new items, and more. It will also support GameCube controllers, which you’ll be able to connect using the adapter made for the Wii U. Nintendo has yet to announce if there will be a new adapter and new Switch GameCube controllers.
It features amiibo support for all of the Super Smash Bros. characters, including an all-new Ridley amiibo. They also revealed a new Inkling amiibo and announced an upcoming Daisy amiibo.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will launch for the Nintendo Switch on December 7.
