Eagle Eyes makes dedicated eyewear designed to filter out blue light. My eyes suffer strain from extended blue light exposure, and the Optiflex glasses helped keep my eyes clear for long gaming sessions, and the best part is I often forget I am wearing them.

I have used a variety of ‘gaming glasses’ to reduce my fatigue and keep my eyes pain free during those marathon gaming sessions. One thing most of these products have in common is their gaudy design, and their yellow tint. Eagle Eyes seems to solve this problem by designing the glasses with multiple different design styles, and using lenses that are designed for prolonged exposure to screen lights.
I am not a glasses wearer, I am lucky enough to have had good eyesight without aid. This means I don’t have much indoor glasses wearing experience. I thought wearing the Optiflex glasses over long stretches would cause physical stress on my face, and end in discomfort. I am pleased to say that was not the case. After just a few minutes of wearing them I forgot they were there until I would catch a glimpse of my reflection usually caused when my screen would dip to all black in a transitional moment. There is a slight reflection of my own eyes on the inside of the lense, but I haven’t worn a pair of glasses yet which have figured out how to prevent that completely. It isn’t a huge issue, but it will be something first-time glasses wearers will be sure to notice.
While Eagle Eyes shows the Optiflex glasses as clear, in reality there is still a bit of color distortion. This has been the case with any and all computer/gaming glasses that I have tried, and once my eyes adjusted to the slight color difference I had forgotten there was one to begin with.

Things come packaged nicely and included a softshell carrying case as well as a soft bag to store the glasses in when not in use. This is a big plus for me, as I find myself doing a lot of traveling. With just a soft sleeve to carry fragile eyewear around, I am less likely to risk taking things on a trip. The case offered standard by Eagle Eyes for the Optiflex glasses is welcomed, and will encourage me to take them to use at home, or when I travel.
Eagle Eyes has collected a lot of resources on their site which contains information and suggestions that I have found abundant support for in my own research in reducing eye strain and fatigue. Specifically having a collection of tips and suggestions for keeping your eyes sharp, even in a screen marathon setting. Your eyes are critical for your digital adventures, make the effort to keep them working as best as they can.

THE FINAL WORD
If you notice your eyes getting tired, bloodshot or are in pain, getting some blue light blocking glasses is going to make your life a little easier. The comfort and modern-yet-simple design of the Optiflex frames feel like an invisible allie in long duration screen sessions. The positives greatly outweigh the negatives, and are present in other blue blocking glasses usually in a greater magnitude.
