15 Characters That NEED to Be In Jump Force – Part 2

Yesterday, we published the first part of this list, which described ten unique fighters that I want to see in Jump Force as DLC. These are the final five characters of the list, so make sure to check out Part 1 if you want to be caught up! Now then, let’s pick up where we left off:

Tsuna (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!)

I can’t tell if Reborn! Is underrated or not, as it seems to have an inconsistent pattern of popularity across a wide variety of anime fans. I’m a big fan of the series, and main character Tsuna is a large part of that. As an unknowing distant relative of a Mafia family leader, the anxious and less-than-confident Tsuna finds himself thrust into the world of gangs, super-powers, and powerful babies. As the hesitant successor to the Vongolia family, Tsuna slowly grows more confident and powerful with the help of Reborn, a baby assassin whose sole mission is to make Tsuna a worthy Mafia heir.

Tsuna has a lot of moveset potential because of Reborn!’s mid-series genre change. Though it starts as a gag manga, Reborn! quickly becomes a stellar battle shonen. I think Tsuna’s moveset would work best if taken from the battle half of the series, as many of his moves could use the X-Gloves and the extra mobility he gets from using them. Tsuna is one of the few characters I think is nearly guaranteed to be added as DLC in Jump Force, but I wanted to mention him just in case.

Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho)

Hiei is what I consider to be the ultimate secondary character. He’s cool and interesting in a way that doesn’t take away from the main character, he has incredible battles throughout the entire series, and he always seems to have an awesome new technique just casually up his sleeve. IT was tough to decide between including Kurama, Kuwabara, or Hiei, but Hiei came out on top for how straight-up cool he is.

Hiei’s been in most Jump crossover fighters so far, so including him wouldn’t require any crazy brainstorming or moveset alterations. Make Hiei a mid-range to close-range fighter who uses his fists, a sword, and various flame-based attacks. His transformation would have him rip off his headband, revealing the Jagan Eye, which boosts him all-around. For his ultimate, Hiei would dramatically rip the bandages off of his arm, revealing the “Dragon of the Darkness Flame”. After being shot from Hiei’s arm, the dragon would rip around the stage, destroying everything in its path. He’s probably one of the easier characters on this list to make, so I’m really hoping Hiei gets in somehow.

Allen Walker (D. Gray Man)

D. Gray Man had a pretty rough run in later years (hiatuses, the mangaka’s worst enemy), but that doesn’t mean the series isn’t a true hidden gem. Infused with the mysterious essence of Innocence, Allen Walker uses his cursed arm to become an exorcist, battling the immortal Millennium Earl and his demonic minions every step of the way. It’s a dark and intriguing series that doesn’t get as much attention as it should, despite appearing in the majority of Jump crossover games in the past.

Throughout D. Gray Man, Allen’s arm gained new forms and powers, many of which would work best for a mid-range to long-range character. His mid-range attacks would be composed of swipes from Allen’s Cross alpha form, which makes him arm into a large set of claws. Allen can shoot lasers from his arm by using “Cross Paling”, which would work as chargeable projectiles. Allen could use his “Crown Clown” form as a transformation, leading into his “Sword of Exorcism” ultimate attack, where he decimates his opponents with a giant strike. Sure, it canonically doesn’t hurt humans, but if we can excuse the canon-exception of Kurapika’s “Emperor Time”, we can do the same for Allen.

Arale (Dr. Slump)

Another odd exclusion from the base game, Arale is the little robot girl who can literally break the Earth in two. She’s iconic, endearing, and canon to Dragon Ball (even appearing in an episode of Dragon Ball Super fairly recently), and as a powerful gag character, Arale could easily go toe-to-toe with the strongest of Jump Force’s characters. Also, she’s another character that’s been in pretty much every Jump crossover, so it feels weird to have a Jump game without the spunky android.

Arale’s way of fighting would be pretty straight-forward. She would have very few actual “attacks”, so to speak, as Arale would hurt her foes by accident while just playing around. Arale enjoys play-wrestling, so her actual intentional-hits could come from her imitations of wrestling moves (which would set up some fun dialogue with Kinnikuman and Hinomaru). Arale would could slam her opponents through walls by excitedly running into them, or put foes in a crumple state by poking them with poop-on-a-stick. Her ultimate attack could have her wind-up a punch and hit her opponent into the ground with glee, zooming out to show the planet cracking. There’s a lot of fun to be had here, and I hope to see Arale join Jump Force soon.

Giorno (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure)

JoJo has become something of a hit in the West in the last few years, which is something I never thought would happen. This newfound popularity gives me hope that we may get more JoJo characters in Jump Force, as I’m personally hoping for this Stand user in specific.

As the son of DIO, Giorno is a bit more aggressive than most good guys in shonen, but his life-giving Stand, Gold Experience, makes him stand out as a nuanced protagonist with the potential to have a rather creative moveset. The reasons for Giorno’s inclusion are pretty simple: the Vento Aureo anime adaptation is currently running, and Giorno’s Part is considered to be Japan’s favorite overall. WIth his ability to literally create life, Giorno could use all sorts of ridiculous moves, from turning someone’s cells into a piranha to just Muda-Muda’ing them to a pulp. His ultimate attack would be a spoiler for the end of Part 5, but if you’ve read it, you know what ridiculously powerful ability I’m hinting at. People love watching feminine Italian gangsters punch each other with ghosts, so here’s hoping the self-proclaimed “Gang-STAR” gets a slot.

And that’s my list of characters that I want to see added to Jump Force as DLC. Did I miss one of your favorite characters? If so, leave a comment, and we can weeb out about it.
