Marvel’s Avengers Hits Next-Gen Consoles With New Expansion

Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics took to their live event today to announce updates to Marvel’s Avengers, including the next-gen version of the game and a new expansion.  As of today, anyone who has purchased the game on the PS4 or Xbox One can upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions for no extra cost while also transferring their save files from last gen versions of the game.

In addition to this upgrade, a new expansion for Marvel’s Avengers is available in-game today. The Hawkeye-focused campaign, titled Operation: Hawkeye – Future Imperfect, introduces Clint Barton as a playable character and the Maestro, an insane version of the Hulk from a post-apocalyptic future, as the narrative’s villain. The expansion is free to all players of Marvel’s Avengers.
