Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Revealed, But Officially This Time

At today’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope was officially announced following today’s eShop leak. The follow-up to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle was shown off during the event, giving viewers a look at some pre-alpha turn-based gameplay. It seems that the grids of Kingdom Battle are gone, and have been replaced with a set field of movement in which players can control and take action with their various characters.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope has Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and their Rabbid friends travel the galaxy as they battle against the evil Cursa, whose goal is to absorb all of the universe’s energy. This time around they’re accompanied by a Rosalina Rabbid, based off Super Mario Galaxy‘s Rosalina, and a mysterious sword-wielding Rabbid.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope is set to release next year for the Nintendo Switch. For more information, check out the trailer above.
