Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Tips and Tricks

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is finally here, and I hear you asking “how do I even start to approach this massive game?” Fear not, for the resident Star Wars dork and Lego game aficionado has got your back. Here are handy tips and tricks to make the most of your time with The Skywalker Saga.

Get Through the Story First

It doesn’t really matter what order you play the Episodes in, but definitely focus on completing the story at the start. This will unlock planets, characters, and collectibles to go back for. Sure, collect the easy Kyber bricks and other items along the way, but don’t go too crazy with exploration until the story is done. That way, you’ll have a galaxy to pillage and a ton of studs to spend. Speaking of which:

Multiplier of Madness

In classic Lego manner, Stud Multipliers are the most important thing around. Located in the Extras menu, these multiply the value of studs you collect. They stack, so getting 2x and 4x makes 8x. Keep

The upgrades worth spending studs on early would be Speed Increase (going faster is just handy all-around,) and Attract Stud, both in Base Stats. Having studs fly over to you instead of having to go grab them can net you a lot of falling or distant studs that can go towards affording multipliers. Once you have most of the multipliers, you make so much cash from each stud that you can easily buy every vehicle, upgrade, and character in a flash. Again, speaking of which:

Get One of Each Character

Along the way, I’d recommend getting one of each sorted type of character (Villain, Bounty Hunter, Scavenger, etc.,) as this will make grabbing some quick Kyber bricks and studs even easier. There are little puzzles everywhere that require different character types, so find a cheap character of each along the way and grab them. In hubs and Free Play mode, you get a handy bar of characters to easily swap between (just press up on the D-Pad), so set up one of each type to make this even easier.

When the Story is Over, Go For Minkits…

Once you’ve finished the story, do all the levels again with the Collectible Finder Extra enabled.  Complete the challenges and find the mini kits, which will be much easier when they’re all circled. These will give you vehicles, plus, it’s way easier to get True Jedi status with multipliers on.

… Then Roam by Planet

Then, clear each planet one by one of their collectibles. There are some planets with multiple areas to clear, but you can check your status for any area with a quick pause. Some planets have quests that take you to other planets, but you can always come back to those.

Missing Kyber Bricks?

If you think you’re missing some Kyber bricks in an area, check interiors on your map (marked by yellow doors.) For example, the Ewok Village on Endor has a ton of interiors, so missing ships and bricks are likely to be found in buildings.

Get Capital Ships!

Capital ships are giant ships with small hubs in them that you have to buy with studs. They appear sometimes after you do numerous space battles, after which you deplete their health bars on the outside. Then you do a short mission on the inside to take over the ship, and boom, you can now buy the capital ship at any time. They’re quite expensive, so be sure to stock up on studs with multipliers.

And those are some handy tips and tricks to navigate the blocky galaxy of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Have any questions? Be sure to leave a comment below, and stick around MonsterVine for more Lego Star Wars discussion.
