Spencer: What’s unique about Alan Wake 2’s story is that even when it dabbles in being confusing, it makes some form of emotional sense. It’s like a dream – you don’t always fully know what’s happening for certain, but you’re in the thick of it and completely invested in what comes next. I saw someone say it’s “elevated Kingdom Hearts,” which – in the same manner as the narrative itself – I can sort of understand but deeply feel.
