2.5D Action Side Scroller Rusty Rabbit Launches on September 24

NetEase Games announced today as part of Summer Game Fest that Rusty Rabbit will launch on September 24 for PlayStation 5 and PC. With a concept and screenplay written by Gen Urobuchi, known for Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Saya no Uta, and Psycho-Pass, among others, it is set thousands of years after humanity has left the Earth and rabbits have inherited the planet.

You play as Stamp, voiced by Takaya Kuroda (Kiryu from the Yakuza series), as he explores the Earth’s frozen ruins and digs into mysteries about both his missing daughter and the world itself. It is a 2.5D action side scroller with RPG elements and a “smash and dash” approach to exploration.

Pre-orders for Rusty Rabbit will open on June 5, and PlayStation 5 pre-orders will include early access for three days ahead of the regular September 24 release date, September 21. It will also have a feature panel at Anime Expo on July 7, at which Gen Urobuchi, Takaya Kuroda, and producer Yuichiro Saito will show off more of the game and answer questions.
