The Game Awards included the announcement of a new Ninja Gaiden game being developed by The Game Kitchen and published by Dotemu. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a 2D action platformer for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox.
Set in Hayabusa Village after Ryu Hayabusa heads to America, it stars a young ninja named Kenji Mozu fighting to protect his village when the veil between the human and demon worlds is torn open. It promises intense boss fights, upgradeable abilities, hidden collectibles, and precise platforming, with pixel art graphics and dynamic action.
Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is planned to be released in Summer 2025.
